Does anybody have any suggestions as to where to get a third gen camaro sub box to fit 12s and fit in the rear cargo area?

make it. i made mine from taking lots of measurements and taking lots of time but i was proud to say i made it. sounded great too. but there isnt any place to buy one i dont think unfortunately. you could also try ot hit up a customization place. i did that for my navigator and got the sickest box ever made for my 13 inch. the box is as important as the sub itself so do it right

what did yo use to keep the box from rattling? did you glue it then use tack nails? thank you for your help.

i actually screwed it into the car. if you use long enough screws they will secure in nicely. just make sure all the screws go into the carpeting part. that way if you remove it the holes are not visible. and dont worry about putting holes in the part of the car because there is still an outer shell that will protect the holes from any rusting or weathering. just make sure that when you make the box you use a nice thick piece of plywood not particle board. and then make sure that when you do it you measure the required dimensions needed for the subs (all subs need a certain volume) so that the sound quality is crisp.

ok u can make a box if u like but i found one on the web. you can get it fo 10" subs or 12" subs. if u like i could take some pics of them in the back so u can see what it all looks like where i got the box u dont need to do anything to ur car to hold it in place it fits so nice. it wont move. it would be very hard for me to take my subs out if i wanted. ill get back to you lata on with the site i got mine and the pics.

ok i have took a picture of the sub box i bot for it. it is with the hatch closed so u can see how it closes up the the box and all. the link i posted brings u to the box i got. it is 100 bucks. and is well worth it. it made out of 5/8" M.D.F. and for the record you dont use plywood lol M.D.F holds the sound better... but its all up to u man on what u want to do.. but i think its worth the headache and time to order thesub box. u dont have to "Screw" the box to ur car or glue it lol. just place it in.. ( it if a tight fit so it not the easiest to put the box in) http://caraudiofactory.com/19841992-camaro-firebird-fbody-trunk-p-132.html

MDF is what i was looking for in my head but i couldnt come up with it to save my life. lol i just knew dont use particle board. yes mdf is the best. also if you dont secure the box to your car and it is stolen some insurance policies say they dont cover it if its not secured just to let you know. also be sure that the volume required by your subs works with the volume supplied by that box. a couple nice jl audios probably wont work with that box and a couple smaller wattage subs might not work becasue they box is too big also. make sure you check. dont jsut buy a box because its a box that fits. it has to fit your subs volume needed more importantly

yes that is very true. i noticed the size was big on the box. but when i got the box it did not seem as big as it was. i put 2 12" sony 1200W subs and they sound GREAT! if u like i could take a video of them playing if u really want to see. and with this box i dont worry about someone taking out the box because the only way i could take it out was with handles. there is no grip or room on the sizeds to put ur hands. Note to i wouldn't go with to big subs... there is a big peice of glass to break =)

i would build one i built one for 2 15" kickers and it was farly easy and inexpensive and you get to make the look you want ill post a pic
