Honda CRV 2002

Asked by Aug 11, 2012 at 02:34 PM about the Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Nothing in the manual mentions the timing chain or belt but how do I know what my CRV has i.e., a timing chain or a timing belt? I was told from 2002 on they are all equipped with chains.

Your 2002 has a Timing Chain on the engine. I guess the confusion comes in that the "Drive Belt" or serpentine belt be replaced at 105K.
