Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I GOT 89 HONDA CIVIC LX. I WAS DRIVNG IT AT 70MPH WHEN THE OIL LIGHT FLASHED COUPLE TIMES AND THE CAR DIED. WHEN I TRY TO CRANK IT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT JUMPED TIME BUT THE BELT IS STILL TIGHT. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK NEXT?

Ok, you checked timing belt which was smart but how about oil? is it full 4 Quarts or is it not registering on the stick? if very low do not try to re-start it. If it CEASED you got big issues ahead.
