check and see if it will come open with the key in the trunck then spray some white lithium grease on there be carful not to get it on your paint

If somebody used the key and turned it left, counterclockwise, that is how you disable that latch for valet..too keep your trunk locked and the valet key will not open trunk and handle latch won't either. Try using your regular key and turn it counter-clockwise. Then clockwise as normal. That might re-enable the handle by the seat.
