i have 2000 lexus rx300, the abs brakes come on when driving on dry roads. Pull the ABS/TRC/RELAY (fuse boxe labled ABS SOL ) the problem went away. Could it be the fuse or what the fuse is for ?
ABS SOL means ABS, Anti-Lock Brakes Solenoid. Your brake are fine, just don't have ABS for a panic stop, you car will lock in to a skid. If you want to spend the money to have ABS and TRC (Traction Control) it may be something like a wheel speed sensor. That's how TRC works, if a wheel speed sensor detects that a wheel is not spinning at the right rpm for the speed you are going, it applies light braking to that wheel if it's going to fast. You car, to repeat is perfectly safe to drive and you need only fix it if you both have enough money and want to have the features. Not every car has them anyway. Meantime, you can get an OBD scan and see what the problem is
