Transmission will not engage only responds like it is stuck in natural. Any insight%3F

Asked by Jan 24, 2012 at 08:28 PM about the Lexus ES 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dealer serviced the transmission, with a transmission flush and filter. It ran fine for 2-3 weeks.  It started to loose power or torque.  Now it sounds and act like it is stuck in neutral.  Any sight?

you mentioned they flushed it right? might need to refill on ATF if its AT... if its a manual transmission gearbox, the interlinks might be loose...you can always go back to the dealer and ask about the details of this service because it might be a back job...

Thanks. I will ask for greater details on the service and the type of fluid.
