My 1998 Lincoln Mark 8 runs fine when going light on the throttle but will bog down when I give it more throttle. There is also a knocking from the engine with giving it more throttle.

sounds like a timing issue. Check for computer codes and maybe test fuel pressure.

Thanks. will do. Could it be clogged catalytic converters?
