Is it a daily driver or does it sit in the garage for weeks on end?

If this is a car that your Uncle doesn't use all the time he should disconnect the negative (-) battery cable when he parks it. The computer(s) and radio will be constantly drawing on the battery even if the ignition is off. After 2 or 3 weeks of sitting the battery may be dead. HTH. -Jim
