i was wondering, how far fetched would it be to want to put a turbo in my 240, it needs better pick up and im wondering if i had the money should i do it? or would it be cheaper to do something else?

It is not far fetched at all. Volvo 240's had turbocharged engines as an option. It'll take same time to convert it over, but if your okay with using used parts from salvage yards and ebay you could do this for around $500.
