been looking at jeeps for a couple weeks most of them have oil on the top of the engine around the vale covers. Is this common and what is normally the problem?
OLD PCV valve....buggered up with sludge and needs to be replaced...the crankcase pressure has no where to to if not the positive crankcase ventillator...then the valve covers or out threaded holes it will leak~ https://www.google.com/#q=Jeep+Wrangler+PCV+valve&tbm=shop
Judge is correct about the valve, but it is also a common problem, my Jeep is doing the same thing, hope it holds off till spring when I can replace the gaskets in warmer weather.
