How to surrender Car License plate

Question type: General

I have a car that sitting on the street for 1 year, the registration is expired and
there's no insurance anymore. The car is broken and I want to call the auto
wrecker to get rid of it. I believe I need to surrender the license plate first? I
don't have any experience doing this..Please give me advice and step by step
process of surrendering license plate.

Contact your states DMV office or check out their website.
