how can i make my sundace faster to beat my friends cars

i looking to try and make my sundance sound good and go fast at the same time

i wouldnt try it. a sundance isnt made for performance but if you want to then crosscheck your car with a moziroti. theyre both made by dodge and similar. also check la baron. exhaust, cold air kit, and using your head is good.


to do all of that would it cost alot of money to do and can it be done your self to save money

no not really. all dodge small fwd cars are similar. some came with turbos, headers, and oe performance parts. cold air kits you can make. exhaust is the cheap killer.


would you be able to send me site were i can find all time part and thing i need to do this

i wish i could. use your coconut on your shoulders the more you do it the better edge you get. im not trying to be a jag but thats how it is.

remember anythings possable. if you can find a way to beat'um and still make your car look stock, then you may make them sh-t their pants. performance parts for any car is out there.


yea that is true i want to make it look stock but under the hood will be another story lol

those cars are good cars, but i thinks the ones before yours are crap. thats why your car has a bad rap. i hope you kick their ass.


The cheapest and easiest way to go faster is to lose weight. Next time you race them make sure you remove excess weight, like the spare tire and jack. If you have an AC that doesn't work, remove it. If you were really serious, sound deadener, seat compressors (if you have them), and the like can be removed. I took like 20 lbs of sound deadener out of my car, but now I can't even hear my radio over the engine and exhaust noise.

He asked for ideas, I gave him some. The fact that he asked for his car to go faster to beat his friend's means he was already thinking about racing it so I didn't put something there that wasn't there to start. Its not illegal to excelerate quickly at a red light thus I asked the question what he was going to use it for. I personally use a drag strip, but not everyone has one available.


i just want my car to have some balls and take off at red lights faster


thats ture but with what i got now it doesnt take off that fast it like bogs out if i put the ped to the floor


You could try a gear swap, but I don't know what rear you have so different gears might not readily be available. They will help you excelerate, but will also drop your top speed and fuel mileage. That might be going a bit to far just to beat your friend and would require some work on your part. In the end losing weight would be cheapest and easiest to do.


The cold air intake was a good idea as well as the free flowing exhaust. I had a shop build a custom exhaust for my car for $300, but that was a true duell setup, you could prolly get by with a good single. Under driving pulley is good for a few ponies, but depending on the type of system your car uses it might not be possible.


A good tune up is recomended as you don't want to put extra money in it and then blow it up because the engine couldn't handle it.

go to the parts store and look up the exhaust gasket for your car and crosscheck it with one or a similar mopar with a turbo. if all of the holes match then it will fit.


well why dont you try a cold air intake and a cherry bomb exhaust system they are cheap and they worked for my sundance highline trust me i know my car's well and if worse comes to worst hook up a turbo you'll have no problem beating your friend into the ground


so you kno what kind of car my car is then and a turbo would fit or no and do you mean the hold exhaust from motor back or just a cherry bomb turbo for canadian tire

i got a 94 2.2l it was a non turbo i got the turbo head for it, ported polished i got a s60 turbo on it, if you have seen the video of Relentless, its a 10 secong car stock motor i followed his theory the highest i pushed on stock internals was 32psi, but then fried to pistons, these motors and tranys are all cast iron, but i manage to blow holes in my case, remove the back seats, add a cold air and straight pipe it, i had the same problems now everyone shuts up when they hear the boost.
