sometimes i can't get the key out of my 2000 pontiac grand prix se. how can i fix that?

Since you mentioned moving the shifter, my bet is you will need to replace the Shift Lock Solenoid, which is wired the ignition switch.

But first I'd have a good look at the wiring. There have been issues with that t the base of the steering column. Happened to my '03. GM has some technical bulletins out on the subject if you can find them. A GM mechanic would have access to them.
