I have a 2003Pontiac grand am 4cylinders and I think the chain ubroke. Or do you have any other idea what it might be

Starter spins but car won't start

Do you mean the starter spins but does not engage the flywheel, and the engine does not turn over at all... or the engine does crank but not start? And what chain? The timing chain?, your car has a chain not a belt, and is very rare to break
