Why is my 2002 grand am always not showing no engine oil on the dipstick and it has oil ln it

Sounds like the dipstick has been replaced with one thats too short. Try rockauto.com for a new one. That's where I bought mine for my '00 Grand Prix. When I bought the car the dipstick handle was broken. HTH. -Jim
