Each wheel has a bleeder valve but typically not a proportioning valve. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get all the air out of the lines. I suspect you just need to bleed them again since you wound up with a soft pedal response. Remember to start with the wheel that is furthest from the fluid reservoir and keep the reservoir full as you introduce new brake fluid.
