Asked by Apr 08, 2015 at 02:33 AM about the Porsche 911

Question type: General

I inherited this motor.  I have no history at all.
It is complete. I would like to sell it but I don't have a clue what it even is.
It does have mechanical fuel injection with it.

I think it is a 1977 911 2.7. Are you sure it isn't CIS instead of MFI? 1977 engines used Bosch K-Jetronic Continuous Injection System (CIS). How much are you asking for it? Does it run?

It IS a 1977 2.7 USA emissions engine. They have a history of the engine case stud failure, in case you want to know. Other than that, it's not a remarkable engine. Good Luck!
