Took out dashboard in a 97 subaru outback legacy limited to install a new heater coil . After installing lights kept flashing found reset button but car will start then shut off Help

with the lights flashing like that it kind of sounds like you did something to your alarm system while working with the dashboard maybe knock a wire off or something ( maybe the ground wire to the alarm system)
