Cruise Control Warning Light

When a CEL is activated due to an emissions device failure, Subaru links the cc light to it so as to both add a visual warning light as well to disconnect cc while there's a CEL flag. Clear the CEL code with a scanner and the cc should be operative. If you only had a loose gas cap or something also just an isolated event you can sometimes clear a CEL by disconnecting a battery terminal for a few hours (or overnight). But if the CEL is in "hard" memory on the ECM you'll have to use a scanner. Takes only 2min to clear, so some wrenches will do it gratis.
