2004 Mercury marq hot-cold air blend door motor replacement
to get to the blend door motor, I understand the dash has to be removed, to we have a video or manuel to show how to replace
yep, dash has to come out. there is a website called realfixesrealfast. they have a good vid on this subject for Lincoln and Mercury cars.
If you have small hands it can be done with the dash in place, but I understand it is not fun. There is a how to on www.mercurymarauder.com I will see if I can find the write up later for you.
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66574 The Mercury Marquis and the Marauder are mostly the same car. You would need to ignore the part about the floor shifter as your car has column shift. Be sure to use only a genuine Ford blend door actuator because there have been some early failure of the aftermarket "Dorman" units. Aslo make sure that the problem is the blend door and not the ETAC unit (electronic temp air control). Good luck, it won't be a fun job.
