I have a dead battery in my 2002 t-bird. How do I open the trunk for access to the battery?
After storing my car for about 6 weeks the battery died. The trunk opens with an electrical solenoid. There is no key on the trunk. Is there a place to use jumpers under the hood?
You will see a positive post under the hood that you can use to boost it. It will have a red plastic dust/dirt cap covering it.
I appreciate the answer about the red cover. But there is no rec cover or visible terminal.
Well in that case you will have to just tilt the driver's seat forward. On the wall behind the seat there is a keyed trunk release - just put the ignition key in and turn it and the rear trunk will open.
