Could be an ignition system problem. When it quits have you checked for spark? Sometimes an ignition coil will work perfectly when cold but break down when hot. HTH. -Jim

Tempo's had a high failure in the Distributor's ignition module and pickup coil area. They would work cold but when they got hot they would just quit. Cheapest way to fix it might be just buying a replacement Distributor complete Module and pickup included.
