Do you think it is a deal for  1800, on a 2005 with
95000 on rebuilt. The original mile on the old
engine was over 200,000. The guy selling it is a
mechanic, and Will to give it to me for 1400, he
guaranteeing me I will be happy. What should I
look for?

I don't buy anything with "rebuilt" anywhere associated with a vehicle. Rebuilt transmission, rebuilt motor, rebuilt title...could be way to many underlying issues.

good advice above, however, trying to get a car for $1400 is a roll of the dice no matter WHAT you get- buying it from a mechanic is a good sign, however he might be a bad mechanic- a 2005 shouldn't be too bad, however it IS a Ford- and $1400 isn't a lot of money for a car, so in the worst-case you are not risking a lot of money, however it IS a lot of money to me- I would say it comes down to your gambler instincts- do you like the car? do you trust the guy? how does the aura smell? does it seem rosy and good?
