Taurus key fob

Have a 2002 Taurus with one working fob. Programmed a fob from my old 2000 Sable and it works fine. However original one stopped working. Can program either one to work but other one always stops. Cannot get both to work at same time. Any reason for this?

Maybe your not programming them correctly? After you turn the ignition on and off 8 times, the locks will open, then you hit a button on your key fob to lock it, then hit the button on the other key fob within 20 seconds and that will unlock and lock the car signaling it recognized the new fob. Then pull the key out of the ignition. I suspect you were going through the procedure all over again each time only programming one fob. HTH's.

My lights dont indicate or come on when i use the key fob for 2001 ford tauras
