My 2001 ranger 2.5 L has a "pinging" condition that has not been solved even with new DPF/EGR, plugs, wires, etc.

What type of fuel are you using? It sounds like you may be experiencing pre-ignition. Try using higher octane to delay the combustion of the fuel.
