2000 Lincoln town car brake switch wires get hot

As I recall there was a recall on this a few years ago. What happens is the cruise control circuit stays powered up even after the ignition is turned off. Until you can talk to your local Ford Dealer about this don't park in a garage and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable when parking the car overnight. It can start a fire!! HTH. -Jim
