Brake line repaired- but now break lights won't work and hard to get out of park

I had a ruptured brake line and the garage fixed it but now the brake lights won't work and it is very difficult to get it out of park  anyone have any ideas of what the problem is ?

Look under your brake pedal, the switch is probably compromised. The garage that did the work on the hose should be able to fix it.
