02 F250 Super Duty - started about a month ago, go to start truck and nothing ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

started about a month ago went to start truck, will not start, have power, replaced ignition
relay mounted on bottom of coloumn, looked under neath splice for starter solenoid looked
corroded, so i cut back and respliced, no better, the only way i can get to start is to have
key turned with one hand and smack steering wheel???
sounds like somthing is loose but What getting fustrated??

Could it be the ignition switch itself? Not a hard job but you'll have to deal with the chip in the key.

Are you sure about that? My 1999 F 350 did. You can get it tested at most places that cut keys.

deff no chip replaced starter switch, and ignition switch , still nothing
