How can I pass smog?
Install new injectors, O2 sensor, MAP sensor, PCM. Yet will not pass smog,
high HC from tail pipe. Prior to installing new parts , truck was taken to
Catalytic converter... if it's bad changing out sensors does nothing.
Wow... a parts change attack! HC is hydrocarbons, It could be the EVAP system which state are you in? let's assume not Cali...Please let us know the name of the "Dianostic shop" Post It. I would check the catalytic converter first! What year f150 and which engine? most run multi HEGO sensors.. with the correct gear this is easy to isolate and correct the cause of the emission. Did they provide a print out of HC Co Nox Co2? How many PPM over is it in HC
Excessive hydrocarbons (HC) is usually an engine that's running too hot or too lean. HTH. -Jim
