2000 Ford F150 air condition

Asked by Sep 24, 2013 at 06:57 PM about the Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got the whole a/c system checked out including a recharge of freon.  Even the box behind the glove box is freezing so it should be blowing out cold air but its not.  Maybe a control knob problem or even the problematic door actuator problem as this is a common problem with these.  Any easy checks or fixes??

They won't sell these tools to "anybody", but a professional with an account from MAC tool~

Jeez, I meant Evaporator...yes the evaporator drain...icing up, yes from not having sufficient air flow (check your blower) or an undercharged refrigerant...or an expansion valve that is not set-up right~

You say you had the entire system checked out and a recharge. Sounds like you brought it to a shop. Well, bring it back. I do not understand how it got out of the garage without blowing cold air. If it blew cold for a day or so then went dead you have a leak.
