coil has nothing to do ,maybe is seatbelt, maybe an alarm someone installed, or one of those silly remote start systems trying to activate, Doubt its a bom , unhook battery for 30 seconds and rehook, look under dash for bundles of wire and tie straps that doesn't look factory ,that would be an alarm, installed then look for a toggle switch in glove box or under dash ,

common guys, a guru don't need the facts, its in the vibes!

Facts lead to more helpful answers. Oh I just got a vibe! It might be the alarm for the 11 foot cab over camper on the back of the truck that is satellite equipped to shoot down space monsters. Dang you just might be right I think I deserve Best Answer on that one!!!!

Is a series of 5 beeps? Air bag light illuminate or flashing? If the dash lamp doesn't function, and the system detects a fault somewhere in the SRS, the restraints control module will signal the cluster to chime 5 times. If your getting the audible tones and no lamp function the DTC's (trouble codes) need to be retrieved from the control module through the vehicle diagnostic connector with a scan tool. For SRS issues with a functioning indicator lamp, you can count the lamp flashes or LFC's for a trouble code and direction to go..
