I have a 2006 Ford Escape all the lights work except for the break lights I have changed the fuses and bulbs what else could it be if it's a electrical problem why is only the break light not working

If the brake lights don't work as when you press the brake pedal, but work as turn signals there are two places that could be the problem. The multi- function switch on the steering column and or the brake light switch.

But the rest of the right work just not the break lights when I hit the peddle
