Engine shuts down when i accelerate

Asked by Feb 14, 2017 at 06:26 AM about the Ford E-250

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 e250 econoline van. Recently when i try to
accelerate the van shuts off. If i turn key off then back on
the van restarts fine. And runs good but when i try to
accelerate the van dies again. I have replaced mass airflow
sensor, electronic throttle body and the sensor, crank sensor
and even replaced the computer. Checked all power packs
to spark plugs. And even went through whole van and
cleaned all grounds. If anyone has any ideas why this is
happening and can give me any advice it would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you

Well, it sounds like a fuel issue. I would start by replacing the fuel filter. If it is still a problem then you may have a bad fuel pump or fuel regulator.

Did you find the problem my van is doing the same thing

no still trying changed the fuel filter and it did not help

You'd have to get a fuel pressure regulator on there to test the fuel regulator. If you get to this point let me know.
