1999 ford contuur fuel pump 2.5 v 6

when the fuel pump goes bad should I still have voltage to the pump , because I dont have any . I tried a jumper wire and still could'nt get the pump to work. So im thinking the pump is bad , but I thought I should still have voltage to the pump  thanks Rich

If you jumper-ed the fuel pump and it still didn't run then it is most like bad. Don't forget the inertia switch in the trunk,it could be bad, have bad connector or just tripped.
