06 Sienna 2nd row seat won't latch on back hooks.

Asked by viking1936 Aug 23, 2013 at 07:52 PM about the Toyota Sienna

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do you get the back hooks to release.  They are currently stuck and after trying to flip red release caps still won't work.  Hooks seem to be stuck in closed position.

okay, work the lever and use a large screwdriver to tuck 'em back, the holding pressure only the latch default there....tuck 'em back in then release the latch...you'll be okay...momentary mechanical lapse...perhaps a broken return spring~
