Have the check engine light code or codes read most part stores like auto zone will read them for you for free.

Not the engine itself, one of the sensors is detecting a problem. Do what firebird suggests and post the 4 digit codes back here.

check your gas tank cover also just take off the battery terminal and put it back ,it work for me
