How many 1992 Mustang convertibles had the 4 cylinder engine?

Asked by Sep 12, 2014 at 02:11 PM about the Ford Mustang

Question type: General

I have a '92 Mustang LX convertible with the 4 Cyl engine.  People keep asking me if it's
rare because they've never seen one before.  I'm trying to find out how many convertibles
had that powerplant that year.

Look at these websites and see if you can make sense from them. 1) http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-specifications-1992.html 2) http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/the-official-fox-body-production-number-thread.530421/ 3) http://www.mustangevolution.com/mustang-history/1992-ford-mustang/ . Now, 23,420 convertibles for the 1992 model year and site (2)-- Pasted from there-- LX 5.0 Convertible (P44E): 6,606 produced .Out of 23,420 Convertibles how many were LX, and from that we know 6,606 were LX 5.0Liter...I just can't seem to find the missing link..maybe you can, Just a side note: Sales dropped down in 1991 for the 1992 model year when the Mustang went over the $10,000 mark

Good info Fordnut! But even if you do find how many were built and say it was a low number, the 4Cyl Vert in 1992 was slow as heck and not a very desirable car no matter how rare it is. Sorry to break the bad news. It's worth no more than any other Foxbody 4cyl of that era. If it's clean most enthusiast would purchase it to drop a 5.0L in it.
