i have oil in my water but i dont have water in my oil
Still could be blown head gaskets or worse case a cracked head or block.
Is the engine a 3.8 V6 engine and what year? There were problems in certain years with that engine.
Yes its a v6 3.8 and its a 1998 and it still runs real good lots of power and don't smoke yet
If it was mine, I would add a vile of stop leak. Others may have a different opinion but at this point it couldn't hurt .
That stop leak won't work where oil is involved, the oil puts a film on the crack so the stop leak can't do it;s job.
Thanks T.S. it's early Sunday morning here a.d my brain isn't fully fired up yet. Judy
Judy, its only a matter of time before your head gasket fails. You may want to be pro active and start looking for a replacement soon.
Gm made some headgaskets sealer that I was told works well.it was used in the north star motors
I heard about that stuff, I always wondered why a manufacturer would recommend putting that stuff in a brand new vehicle, then a retired mechanic told me it had a cumulative effect in the cooling system so it was designed to cause trouble not fix it. Sounds like all of the current day sealers.
