Did I commit big mistake by using wrong engine oil ?

By mistake I put engine oil 20w-50 in my 2003 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder car. What could happen to engine damage now ? i live in maryland and my car has over 150 K

No. No big deal. I wouldn't worry about it. However, I would drain the oil out and add the proper type of oil but your engine will be fine!

Yes drain out the oil, that weight of oil is too heavy for your climate and put in the correct weight. As far as any engine damage you should be fine afterwards. I made that mistake 1 time on my Toyota and the only problem I had was when it was cold if I exceeded 2000 RPM it shut off the fuel pump due to high engine oil pressure. Drained it out and the problem went away.

You should be using 5w-30 synthetic in that car. You run the risk of damaging the oil pump in various ways due to the extra thick oil it has to try and pump.

Drain it immediately, it could blow your seals.
