third stop light

How do I change the third stop light in the rear window.  I tried removing the cover but I am afraid of breaking it.  Should I put more pressure onit?

look in the trunk first, to see if there are screws or bolts from underneath. if not, pull the carpeting around it off. if it doesnt come off, pull harder.
