Can a 1.8 turbo be replaced with a 2.0

The waste gate housing has cracked,on my 2004 Audi A4 1.8. I have been told to swap it
out with a 2.0 to increase the cooling capacity and over all Proformance and reliability.
What are your thoughts

This all depends on what the cars year is your taking the 2.0 engine out of. You can't put in an engine from anything more then a year or 2 older or newer in. I think the only compatible modals wit ha 2004 is 2002 - 2004 if i'm correct. If you put anouther engine in be sure to put something in the same year or as closest the same engine as possible.
