Is a 2009 Altima engine compatible with a 2010 Maxima car

I would guess the Altima would have to have the 3.5L engine, which is the same size engine as the 2010 Maxima. Compare the numbers on the blocks and do some more research. I would ask this question on a Maxima forum to get confirmation.
