Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The left front shock is obstructed.  The battery box, wiring harness, two fuse
boxes and abs module are obstructing.  Do all of these need to be removed to
replace the left front shock?

Yes, some or all of those parts. I did find a video in youtube that said it was a 5hr job, but the mechanic showed how he cut the bottom of the battery tray to access the top of the shock to eliminate removal of all the wiring harness's and battery box. Search Dodge Ram 5500 remove front shocks. HTH's.
