drivers seat in 2004 passat won't stay locked in place how do I cure it

pull your seat out flip it over and check the latch it is most likely rusted in an open opstion. Wd 40 or simalur products should rectifiy the issue with some good old fashioned elebow greese or a hamer.

Sometimes the cable that operates the latch can stick too.
