What would a 66 vw in good condition with 80000 miles on it sell for?

Body in good condition  little rust. 4 speed  with radio. Does not need a paint job. I have  
not driven it yet but the seller is asking 5500.

Without seeing photos it hard to say, but a car at that age and by the condition you are saying should be more, like 6,000.00 to 8,000.00

These Beetles tended to rust out underneath. Sometimes making them dangerous because the mounting for the front suspension would rot out. Back in the early '90s a friend had an early '70s Beetle. I believe it was a '71 model. When he took it to State Inspection the front end was rusted out so badly that they failed the car and gave him a 24 hour sticker to get it home and park it. On the outside, though, the car looked great. So be careful. That price is suspiciously low, in my opinion. HTH. -Jim
