There once was a kit put out by Cal-Custom to put the Porsche 911 transaxle into the VW Bug but I haven't seen that in years. I have a article from the early 70's when a man put an Oldsmobile 455 with transaxle into a bug with the engine in the back seat. you would have to perform a generalized search of the web or at www/HotVWs.com to find out your answer would be my guess.

Try Kennedy Engineering as they might have something that would work.
