my 97 manual trans jetta has hazard lights stuck on and the car wont start because of it, a safety precuasion i presume, how do i reset whatever to get my car to start

it sounds like your alarm and it weakend your battery.. jump your battery or put a chargerer on it and then stick key in door and disarm your alarm or however you disarm it. try that

The hazard light function has nothing to do with starting you car.
