Just replaced ignition switch and wipers still are not working

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but I just replace the ignition switch in my 2000 Volkswagen turbo beetle and my windshield wipers don't work still so do the wipers run on a fuse or something I'm I'm a girl and I'm asking cuz I'm trying to learn about my car
