First change out your thermostat. Fill up radiator and reserve. Buy an air bleed kit at the auto store to rid the system of any trapped air. That should take care of the overheat problem. If it doesn't, you may have a clogged radiator or the water pump may be on it's way out.

Check your water pump,and make sure radiator fan,s are working right,all so check the coolant level.
