I have a 2013 kia sorento in which the second row seat is stuck in the down position. Any help?

Mine is a 2011, and I put the second row of seats down once each week when I go to pick up some bakery items for seniors. It always takes more than expected force to release the latch. If one side works OK, and the other one won't, you may be able to see what is stuck by observing how the working one releases.
